Only 4 more weeks?!

SO I saw the doctor yesterday and here's what he said:

--The only problem I should possibly face in the future is hip arthritis which would mean a hip replacement. Which would suck. A lot. Apparently 1/4 people who have injuries like mine early on end up like that. I hereby vow to drink my milk, take my vitamins, and exercise so that I can hopefully dodge that bullet

--He wants to see me again when I am back from my job with RCCL, to take xrays and make sure that I am not developing really early signs of arthritis

--My therapist told me last week that I probably needed about 4 more weeks of therapy, so Dr. agreed, and that once therapy says I'm good to go then I can tell RCCL to find me a ship!

It's all coming together! This has been a crazy summer and I won't wax nostalgic about it yet, but, it's been a learning experience, to say the least.

This past weekend was Jackie's wedding--it was SO lovely! It was once again wonderful to be with all the friends again!  Below is a pic of some of the high school friends and the beautiful bride!!

This weekend mom and Jeff are going to Michigan and I am staying home to relax and enjoy some much-needed alone time. I am having people over to swim Saturday night but aside from that I am pretty much going to do nothing but veg out!

Heat Wave

Hello readers,

My apologies for having been MIA for the past several weeks, guess I just haven't been feeling inspired to write!

What has happened since my last post, allow me to bullet point for you:

-I have been going to therapy twice a week still, I will go to the doctor on Tuesday the 26th in order to see what he wants me to do beyond this week
-I've really gotten into the show True Blood...don't judge me.
-Hung out with some friends at the home of my friendJackie who is getting MARRIED this weekend!! Yay!!
-Speaking of marriages, went to North Carolina to see my oldest friend (a guy I've known since 2nd grade) get hitched to a lovely girl :) It was absolutely wonderful to catch up with he and his family--they were a HUGE part of my life! This photo here is of Tony and I in around 3rd grade and us at the wedding this past weekend :)
-It's been ridiculously hot here....I don't like it one little bit.
-I got a Blackberry because they said it would be the best phone for International use for cruise ship life!

This coming weekend will be Jackie's wedding and Cathryn and Shannon will be in from Pittsburgh (yay!) and it's going to be a fun time---Four words: Nine Piece Swing Band!!

Finally, I am almost walking completely normally now. I can feel some weaknesses of course, but, overall it's feeling pretty ok!

"Isn't that like Pig Latin?"

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend---mine was pretty epic!

On Friday night a bunch of my friends and I went out for drinks and then went to a Salsa Dancing night at the restaurant where I worked back in January/February. It was super fun! I couldn't dance, yet, but I have many plans to go back as soon as I can!

Saturday I got a pedicure with my friend Erica and then I went with her and her roommates and her boyfriend to pick out a cat for their apartment. They got the cutest 3 year-old black cat with green eyes from the APL and her name is Lucy :) I also got Frozen Yogurt with the same friends from Salsa night (-1) and it was DELICIOUS! It's from this place where you basically serve yourself as much yogurt as you want and then add all kinds of toppings and then they charge you by the ounce--pretty neat concept!

Sunday I worked from 3-11 bartending at the club, and while after standing for 8 hours I thought my hips were on fire, it felt good to work and be out and be doing something! And making money! I told them I would probably be able to work a few days/nights a week or something coming up and they seemed cool with that, so, we'll see what happens!

Monday I hung out with another bunch of my friends and we BBQ'd, played Bocce ball and a bunch of other games, and generally just had a good time! We ended up back in Solon to watch the fireworks, then I went home (after sitting in traffic for, like, an hour. UGH.)

Then today I got up early to have breakfast at Bob Evans with my friend Atlie who was in town from Chicago, and then I went to Physical Therapy, then came home and napped for a little, then went to Lunch with Erica and then came home! Later, I took my mom and Jeff to the yogurt place, mahaha.

Healthwise I am doing better and better, loving being in my room again and being able to drive is so liberating!! I still have some work to do until I'm 100%, but, slowly and surely, it will happen :)

Testing Google?

I am simply testing a Google+ thing.

This entry is more or less irrelevant to my dear readers. Sorry guys! Pardon our dust!

This little button gives you a link to a site about me..........BUT it may not work for you yet because the site isn't officially up and running yet. Long story.
